How to create a wiki

			     It is very easy to create a PBwiki, but in the interest of time I have created a wiki for you.

			    In the future, to create a wiki:

			    Sign in to www.pbwiki.com and create an account 

			    Click on Create a wiki button  

			    Give your wiki a name 

			    Click on 'Create my wiki

			    Check your email and click on the link.  You are ready to go!  

• How to edit text, create new pages and link to new pages on your wiki

  Editing text

  	To make changes or additions to your wiki page, click on the Edit Page button 

  	Notice the editor toolbar.  

  	Here you can edit and format text, insert images, tables and plugins, and attach files.  Hit the Save the page button  

          at the bottom of the page when you are done.

  Creating New Pages

  	To create a new page, click on the New Page button   .

  	Decide whether your page should utilize a template or not.  

  	Click on Save the page when you are done.

  Linking to a New page

  	To create a link from one page to another, go to the page where you wish the link to appear.

  	Click on Edit page.

  	Go to the point in your page where you wish the link to appear.

  	Click on the Link button in the editor toolbar.

  	Your link type should be "Wiki page" and your new page should appear in the 'Link to wiki page dropdown'.  

  	Check the text in the 'Link text' field to be sure that is the text you wish to appear on your page and click OK.

  Creating links to urls, attaching files and inserting images

  	To create a link to a URL:

   To create a link, click on the link button in the editor toolbar and:

  	To insert an image:

  	To insert an image, be sure you know where your image file is stored on your computer.  

           Click on the Insert Image button in the editor toolbar:

  To attach files:
     	To attach a file, be sure you know where your file is stored on your computer.  

            Click on the Attach File  button in the editor toolbar and follow the same steps as inserting an image.

  	Your first assignment will be:

  1. Edit the typo on your home page (found in the table below)

  2. Create a new wiki page

  3. Create a link to to your new page from your home page

  4. Create a link to a url, attach a file or insert an image

      

  The wiki I created for you can be found below.  All the wikis below are PUBLIC, and have the invite key of rocks.
